My Favorite jazz groups/singers are Pat Metheny, The Rippingtons, and Craig Chaquico. Craig Chaquico has some of the best skills on the acoustic guitar along with Pat Metheny However Pat Metheny plays the electric guitar more than the acoustic guitar. The Rippingtons are more of a mix between vocals and instruments. With these three groups you can't go wrong! Craig has some Tracks of his new album here: http://www.craigchaquico.com/ Pat has some tracks as well http://www.patmetheny.com/media.cfm?artistid=1 The Rippingtons has some great sax tunes here http://www.rippingtons.com/Build2_09.html
These groups are some of the best artists I have ever laid my ears to hear.
The first step to understanding and knowledge is confusion.

In the mornings, Bluegrass.. old mountain banjo and mando music makes for good mornings.
In the afternoons, smooth jazz and hiphop... good vibes... getting into swing and big band towards the late afternoon to sunset..
Evenings... really feeling the early 2000 alterna-rock, like the Dandy Warhols, Eels, New Order, etc. , depends on the night though. Jazz can go on all night too.
Happiness can be found between first and second crack.
