There is a cafe that is selling their old machine. I am wondering if it is worth it to buy. It was built in 1997, has two groupheads and hasen't been used in 2 years because the business was sold 2 years ago and the buyer didnt use it. The person selling it doesnt have it plumbed in anymore and I dont think I will be able to try it and see if it works first. I want to use it mobily and have some sort of external water resevoir if possible, like a 18.9 litre water bottles. Along with it comes a Nuova Simonelli Grinder model MDX also from 1997 I beleive. I have looked online for info but dont seem to be getting anywhere. Hope someone can shed some light.

I would like to offer $300 for everything and I know someone in Edmonton who can service it for me (although i would like to open it up and tinker around to learn as well - not many service techs will let me sit in and learn while they fix it...wonder why ;) haha). I dont want to end up with a machine that I have to turn around and throw money to fix, but it might be a good beginner machine for me?

Also, she does not have the machine hooked up to a water supply and I dont know if I will be able to turn it on and see if it works. I dont know much about the machines and dont know it these come with a pour over option that I could pour water in even though it was plumbed in before? :-\
