Hello. I am looking for an online supplier of very high temp heat resistant glass. Needs to be clear, no tint involved. Heat range up to at least 700 degrees Fahrenheit. From 1/8" thick to preferably 1/4" thick, 6 inch by 6 inch square.
Any suggestions? I tried McMaster, but too $$$. I have found other suppliers are sometimes, and often, less expensive, and am hoping that will be the case here.

I'm thinking the high performance cermamic 'glass' used in modern wood stoves would safely meet your needs to well over 700F.
Hello. I am familiar with the glass you reference. However I will be using this in a roaster for a viewport and the stuff is tinted amber like, or a rose tint. Only thing not at that high temp is about $150, and is a type of quartz. Believe it or not I will be trying isinglass (mica), made for the older woodstoves. It comes in clear, and is supposed to be pretty tough (but thin). I will see. I will be putting a stainless screen on the inside face of it to provide more durability. The stuff is good to 1800 degrees F.

Glass doors on ovens are Low E glass and come tinted. I got a hi temp glass disc from a local boiler manufacturer, not sure the max temp rating but it is plenty hot enough. Diameter is 40mm thickness, i think it is 6mm thick, will confirm that when i find it to measure it. They are (were) $40NZ. You can't get the glass cut after it is heat treated, it is too hard. It must be cut prior to heat treatment which can be a problem if it is too small to fit on the grate spacings of the heat treatment oven.
