Hi, I recently spent a few days in Singapore on my return from holiday in Australia and found a supermarket called Carrefour who roast beans in-house. Does anyone know where I can find in-house roasting in the UK, preferably near Nottingham. Thanks.

Hi,
Oh dear. does nobody roast in-house in the UK ?
Surely there must be a few people in-house roasting ?
Some of the other forums point to UK roasters such as Has Bean and Roasted Bean Boutique but I see little in the way of coffee shops who actually roast in-house.
Maybe its just a U.S. and Asia thing ?
I came across a japanese guy in Shanghai who roasted in his coffee shop and he has seating for only about 8 people, and his wife made fantastic cheesecake !!!!
Is there a website which lists in-house coffee bean roasters ?

Try www.coffeeplaces.com though it seems you may have to phone the various shops. I hadn't noticed individual websites listed. Aha 2 sites in Manchester www.morellis.com and www.caffenero.com though it isn't clear from a quick scan if either roasts. Best of luck though mates!
