Tried out this 100% robusta S.O. this morning.  Must admit that I went into this figuring I would not like it.  The first pull was a sink shot and I quickly dialed down the Rocky 3 or 4 steps from where I was pulling a short Classico.  The next shot was good with tons of crema that did not persist.

It tasted sweet and nutty, earth, spices.  Very heavy with low acidity.  Held up very well in a cappuccino.

My wife said it didn't taste like what she thought as coffee.  She said tree bark came to mind.

Very different.  I would say that if you have not tried a good robusta (this one got a 94 on CoffeeReview.com) you should give it a try.  I am glad that I tried it but I don't see myself buying it in the future as it is a little dark and heavy for me.  I can see how it could really compliment a blend though.
