My personal favorite is the KC Roasterie. Their espresso is unlike any other espresso I have tried. The Crave, the Broadway Cafe', PTs Coffee, The HiHat, Muddy's...these are all great coffee shops. KC has so many coffee shops to choose from.

Want to recommend the Broadway Roasting Company here -- they're brewing a fantastic batch of Ethoipia Harrar right now that is just fantastic. I'm still developing my palate, but the flavors on this really popped from the cup. I immediately thought of chocolate-dipped berries, and heavy on both the chocolate and the fruit. I took a half-pound home for press pot, and the rest is rock and roll history.

YES!!! Broadway is really the only option in KC...lol. I drink their coffee every day - the Nicaragua Limoncillo estate that they're roasting right now is especially good, not to mention their espresso. Definitely check it out.

Broadway is excellent, but it's not the only option in KC. There are other fantastic indie shops around.

PT's Coffee, hands down the best in MO, IMO.

IMHO Espresso Dell'Anatra is probably the best place in Kansas City. Their Chateau traffic way location though, not the location in Zona Rosa. They have some of the best and most consistent baristas that i have seen.
