Subject: Mahlkonig Pro-M Espresso Grinder, Gently Used - $850 *Sold*

Hello all, I am trying to sell a (very) gently used Mahlkonig Pro-M Espresso Grinder. I have owned it for about a year and used it very rarely. It has probably had less than 5lbs of espresso through it in total. I work for a roastery and we roast nothing darker than a Full-City or so, so no super dark oily buildup in this bad boy. I will remove the upper housing and vacuum the burr chamber to make sure it's spotless before selling. I am an espresso/grinder tech so you can trust me to put it back together correctly ;)

For those who don't know much about this grinder: It is Mahlkonig's prosumer espresso grinder. Inside it has 65mm steel flat burrs and a ~1650RPM motor. It generally grinds a 18-20g dose in around 6-8 seconds and has a timer to allow doserless/timed grinding, similar to the pricier K30. The retail price on this is $1595, though generally you can find a new one online for around $1250. I believe my price on this is more than fair so please don't low-ball me, but I will consider a reasonable offer. If I need to ship it to you, we can decide together on what kind of shipping you want and you will be responsible for the cost, the grinder weighs about 13lbs. Attached you will find a picture of the grinder next to a standard-sized knock box for reference. If you want more photos I can email them, unfortunately coffee geek only allows one photo in a post.

Something worth noting, I do not have the box but I do have the manual/all of the materials it came with.

This is a semi-commercial grinder, very capable for a commited home barista. I am selling for a few reasons:

  1. I make a lot more pour-overs at home than espresso and this grinder is not designed to grind at coarser settings, therefore I am planning to get a Baratza Forte to meet my needs.

  2. I won this grinder in a competition last year so I am selling it at a much better price than what you may find online because I don't have any money in it.

I will happily answer any questions that you have, if you are in Louisville, KY I can meet up so you can see it in person. If not, we can arrange shipment and I can video chat or something if you want to see it live before buying. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from some of you!
