I am looking for a good lever machine.  My budget is around $500, but could stretch a little if need be.

I am currently using an Isomac Tea and have no complaints about coffee quality, but would like to try my hand with a lever.

Any advice would be welcome.

Hi Toma,

I have a Boni Little that I might consider selling. It is a manual lever and basically a Caravel (similar to Caravel Ursula). It is an open boiler and so you can't steam. You can find info on Francesco's site. We can discuss price by email if you are interested (way below your budget).

It is in excellent condition and I just recently bought it (a few weeks ago) but haven't had the chance to buy some accessories and use it much. Although I did take it completely apart and clean it a week ago: softened the seals, and applied a coat of Dow111. Only pulled a few shots but since I haven't bought an appropriate tamper haven't done much with it since last week. Reason for considering to sell: mainly because my gf would kill me for buying a third machine (she doesn't know I bought this as I hide it under my coffee shelf). I'm a grad student so am supposed to be frugal and bought it on an impulse buy after reading the Caravel mega thread on HB.

The picture I included was immediately after I unboxed it and is uncleaned and the lever is pointing the wrong way (I have since fixed that).

I have a La Peppina that I'm looking to get rid of. I don't have a firm price in mind as I don't know a whole  lot about it (but definitely asking far less than your budget). It was given to me. It is missing the lid and the drip tray so it may be more of a project than you are looking for. I'm attaching a picture just in case.
