Posted Sat Aug 31, 2013, 10:32am Subject: FS: QM Andreja SOLD
My new QM Vetrano 2B from Chris Coffee is here, and QM Andreja needs a new home. Quick Mill machines are solid & dependable. She's been awesome for me to learn on and has pulled great shots teamed with my Macap 4 grinder. I would not have hung the FS sign out except that Chris Coffee had this incredible preorder deal for the QM Vetrano 2B and I really wanted a PID. So...
The person who was going to purchase Andreja decided on a different machine. Andreja can't stay here--my husband walks into the kitchen, looks at my counter with Two! Shiny! Prosumer! Espresso! Machines sitting side by side and rolls his eyes. Pretty soon he'll make noises about needing another old tractor and I won't be able to say anything but "Yes, dear".
Andreja went to Chris Coffee this time last year and was completely worked over. That was because I had replaced the green bolier insulation with the new stuff myself... then decided to tear apart the E61 group... then decided to just spiff up the inside. After I was done, I did not trust how I put things back together, so sent Andreja to CC and asked them to make sure I had a) put her back together correctly and b) since she was there add the Premium upgrades that could be added. I am NOT ever going to do all that at once ever again. Lesson learned.
So she got a new heater, OPV, added drain to drip tray and checked over. Heater was because they found that she was heating slowly.
Descaled and cleaned on a regular basis. My water is 3 ppm, so there is little to no buildup inside.
This is not the Premium. You have to lift the entire lid to fill the tank. That is not a big deal, but I do have the plumb-in kit that will be sent with her. All upgrades that are on the Premium that could be made have been made.
I am the second owner; bought her on CoffeeGeek in September 2011. She was bought from Chris Coffee in 2006. Will be sent in the packaging she was sent in from Chris Coffee last year. All work has been done by Chris Coffee.
