Fully restored '96 Olympia Maximatic for sale. Bought this machine from fellow CG'er and friend. I am in love with this machine. It produces wonderful espresso and is beautiful to have in my kitchen . I thought I'd keep it forever but unfortunately a financial circumstance means I must sell it. Trust me I am heartbroken....this machine is fantastic and I don't see Olympia badged Maximatics for sale much at any price (except new of course). I much prefer to sell this locally.

I'm the restorer of this machine and friend of Brian, and would like add a bump and some details.  This was a young Maximatic when it came to me.  I did the usual clean up & tuning, swapped in a stainless drip tray instead of the plastic one and added a hard to find colored button-insert for the vac-breaking boiler cap.  I put in a new FOT pump and a semi-adjustable (maybe tunable is a better word) OPV with the overflow routed back into the pump inlet.  I replaced the group/pf gasket and I think the HX seals and the steam wand seal as well.

I really like this Maximatic, it's one of 2 machines that I sometimes regret letting go, the other being the Strega.  It's in very good condition, the likes of which you will not find on cheaper and older Pasquini Liviettas.  Someone should give this machine a good home, it's a prime example of a model that I think epitomizes what a home espresso machine should be.

I also really like Brian, and am happy to add a "personal reference" bump for him.
