I'm open to all well-reviewed grinders that would be a good match for the Anita. I had a Macap4 I bought here and loved, but when someone came to buy my Silvia, they insisted they were taking my macap along with it and offered a fair price, so it gone!
Now I've upgraded to the Anita and tried a Breville grinder, since I found a deal on it refurbed for under a hundred bucks, but amazingly it couldn't get fine enough for even a mediocre shot!
And thus I'm back, seeking a Mazzer, Macap or as mentioned, any other good match at a good price. I might consider going a little higher if it's too good a deal to pass up.

I'm selling my Grinta (50mm flat burrs) and am in NYC. Will make you a deal if you come by and pick it up since you are in NYC. Not sure how it compares to the 58mm burrs on the Macap but I'm sure you can get close to that with the Grinta and for less than half the price. Plus, I'm local =)
Edit: I'll drop it off at your house if you will let me see your cool Anita machine -- it sure is pretty

I wish I had another Vario to sell you, you can't do better in that budget and should have no problem finding one used for well under $400. Or at half the price, the little Lelit/Nemox conical grinder is awesome.
