This wonderful package is sold, now the next project is funded!Hi guys, I'm probably preferring local sale for these items to focus on my next project. I purchased this machine from the American Barista School who had pretty never really used the machine because they prefer to train people on bigger two groups. So it's in great condition inside and out, but I descaled it just to make sure the guts were as clean. Just got a new group gasket but have not installed it yet.
The Brasilia Century Cappuccino is a very cool and unique machine, but I love the size, features and performance. It gets tons of compliments too. I particularly love the way it steams, instead of having a rotating knob, the knob is a button which can easily be locked so you can keep both hands on the pitcher and work on co-ordinating your milk swirling. This has made for more consistent microfoam and latte art than with any other machine I've used recently. With the factory 4 hole tip it was just nuking my milk in seconds, but with the single hole it's just great.
Priced at $800, or combine with big workhorse La San Marco grinder for $1000. I have it advertised on Craigslist for $100 more.
Specs: Runs on standard 110v home power 1.5 liter copper boiler with heat exchanger (fully descaled) and pressure gauge Swiveling hot water wand for instant boiling water 1400w heating element Automatic boiler refill 3 liter removable reservoir with low water sensor Automatic espresso dosing Replaced pump Chrome drip tray has waste line hook up underneath
Here's a video of the very first shot I pulled with the machine, a little slow, but with my roasts that often works out perfectly! Since this video, I added sound dampening between the pump and frame, so it's significantly smoother more quiet. http://youtu.be/kGc5uqHrDhU
