I need to get this off of my bench so that I can finish up some other projects and free up my FloJet. It's in great condition. I had a whole pitch for why this is a great deal, but honestly, this is a light commercial HX in great shape for the price of a PID Silvia (or maybe less?). If you can plumb in and out (or run it off of a FloJet and water bottles), this is a lot of machine for a reasonable amount of money. I guess I could ship it (it's built like a tank with a double wall stainless case), but I would certainly prefer a local sale. Drop me a line if you're interested.
EDIT - I forgot to include basic specs: HX 110v 4L boiler (my estimate), auto filling 1800w (just barely runs on a home 15amp line) External Procon rotary pump Sirai pressurestat
Listing Details Asking / Suggested Price: 700 Seller Name: Russel Philip Seller Location: Los Angeles Sale Type: For Sale
bump...obviously I still have this and it is still for sale. It's currently stuck in a corner but I will try to shuffle it around and post some detail pics. I know that a plumb in remote pump isn't for most, but if you can make that leap it's really nice, just like being on a really small coffee bar.
I still have this. I'm in the process of selling my GS/3 AV, and once that's gone this will probably take over pump machine duties for a bit while I decide if I want a pump machine at all. I don't know what else to say...this is at least $2000 worth of professionally serviced machine for $700. If you are in the greater LA area you really can't do much better without shouldering the risk of some serious repair/service costs.
Though this was at the top of the list, I am adding in that Russel is a straight shooter, honest and a great guy. You can trust him to over deliver on what he might have for sale. Just saying.

Someone suggested that I post a video of this guy (or gal, or it?) in action, so here goes. This shot was 20g into a 18g VST and resulted in 34.4g in 24 seconds for a %58 brew ratio shot. I usually pull shots at %66 brew ratio, although I've been enjoying shots on my LP as low as %55 with a huge pre-infusion...go figure.
Be forewarned - my crazy pre-bedtime boys are in the background and there's a k-cup machine to right...:-) http://youtu.be/oyKvSaXEt3U
I will try to post a milk steaming video, but I'm left handed and not used to managing the pitcher with my right hand, which has been a little tuff because the steam power is immense and tears through a caps worth of milk in a few seconds.
