Up for sale is my nearly new, very sparingly used Andreja Premium. A little background is in order with regards to the "sparingly used" remark. I bought this machine a little over a year ago after I sold my La Spaziale Vivaldi II. I hated to sell the VII, but I could no longer use a plumbed in machine, and needed to go back to pourover. Also, I was tight on funds at the time, so I didn't have enough to buy another dual boiler. No matter, the Andreja Premium is the big sister to my first machine, the Quickmill Anita, so I knew I would be in good hands. Around the time I got the machine(about a month or so after), I started a new job and increasingly had less and less time at home. Sadly, I quickly lost interest in coffee more and more. I saw it happening, and I was upset about that fact, but due to my life at the time, there was not much I could do about it. I would use the machine on the weekends, if I had fresh coffee. Suffice to say, she saw incredbly little usage over the year(ish) I owned her.
Fast forward to this past Christmas, and life circumstances changed and I really missed my coffee. I started to get back into coffee in a big way, majorly because I missed everything about it, and also because I had much more time at home again. I decided that I would treat my resurgence with a machine upgrade to the machine I originally planned to buy way back when I got into this(four years ago now), the Alex Duetto. Suffice to say, I am quiet pleased with my new gear, and now I need to find a suitable home for Andreja Premium.
The machine might as well be new. She's just had a gasket/screen change in prep for the sale, and I will do a full descale(prob could go another year on soft water, but I will do it regardless)before the sale is made. During her life even though she saw little use, when she was being used, she was always meticulously maintained like any of my other machines. Water backflushes at the end of every session, and chemical backflushes about every two pounds of coffee(in low use scenarios I backflushed every other weekend). She always had wonderful water going through her, softened and filtered, always, no exceptions.
This Andreja is the newest version: -Hinged lid to fill reservoir, no need to remove cups or cup tray -Full No-burn steam and water arms -Non-Compression valves with new large ergonomic knobs(easily rebuilt should the need arise) -Cup rail around the top to keep your cups up top -Boiler drain valve, easily accessible through a trap door, making full boiler drain/rinsing a trivial matter -Dual low-water float valve system, first sets off and alarm, second cuts heat to the boiler(but never the pump, allowing you to finish your shot should you run out mid-shot) -New Style Vaccum Breaker Valve that is easily rebuilt, and has teflon seats which are resitant to scale buildup -Vaccum Breaker Spray is re-routed to drip tray instead of spraying all over the internals -And one of the bigger upgrades IMO, OPV valve now on the cold side of the HX for easy flush management, and less likely for seals to breakdown.
I also added the Eric S E-61 Grouphead Therm which is essential for an E-61 HX machine to make flushing a piece of cake.
Also, this machine is plumbable, should you wish to do so. A kit is available from Chris' Coffee which will allow you to easily hook it up to your water line. Alternativly, the reservoir is 3L, which is pretty sizeable.
You will recieve everything you would normally recieve if you bought the machine from Chris Coffee, as well as the E-61 Grouphead therm.
This is really a wonderful example of an E-61 Heat Exchanger with all the tweaks enthusiasts have asked for over the years. Furthermore, she's seen such little use that aside from the fact that you know its not brand new out of the box because you'd buy it from me, you would never know its not brand new out of the box.
--Asking $1600 Or Best Offer.-- Local Pickup is obviously preferred, but I will ship the machine anywhere in the Continental US(Lower 48), shipping costs to be paid by the buyer. I have shipped a number of heavy espresso equipment items before, all have arrived no problem.
Payment is either cash for local pickup, or Paypal Transfer.
