Selling my Used Magister Stella E61 Heat Exchanger Espresso Machine
This machine has the exposed grouphead and thermosiphon features similar to the Quickmill Anita, Andreja, ECM Giotto, etc etc.
It is in excellent condition, I have owned it for about 1.5 years and it has seen about 2 shots per week of action. I always used reverse osmosis water or distilled water in the machine. Has pulled great shots since i've gotten it and has pretty good steaming power. The only issue I have ever had with the machine is that every once in a while, the thermostat does not flick on during a cold start. When this happens, all I have ever had to do is turn off the machine, wait 2 seconds, and then turn it back on...and good to go!
Comes with both a regular portafilter handle, and a bottomless portafilter. Comes with single, double, and triple baskets.
I am only selling it because I rarely drink espresso or milk drinks anymore, beginning to prefer drip coffee solely.
Pictures below are of the machine I'm selling. Specifications for the machine are listed here on this ebay page:

I am wondering if the auto shutoff on your machine was working with the use of RO / distilled water, since they usually work by sensing the waters conductivity. Pure water is non conductive, remove the minerals with an RO or distiller and you have very little to no conductivity, depending on the process succession rate. Perhaps that has something to do with the thermostat problem on a cold start. Didnt mean to get off subject btw, sorry. Very Very nice machine, I only wish I was closer. Im on the other side of the US and the shipping would put the price out of my range.
