I decided to purchase an espresso machine. I have done some research and been lurking on this site for some time. The forums are a great source of information and I just became a member. I hope to contribute back someday. I primarily make a couple cappuccinos a day and maybe the occasional espresso (the better I can make them the more I will drink :)).
I was thinking about a new Silvia, but then I figured by the time I bought a Silvia and PID'd it I would be pushing $800. I thought that the money would be better spend on a higher end used machine. Since I primarily make milk drinks, I do not want to have to wait for steam. I also decided that I really like the e61 brew group. With that said I am looking for a gently used e61 machine, that is a hard requirement. The other requirement is it has to have an internal tank. I have read about the Isomac Tea, Expobar Brutus, Quickmill, and a few others, but I am still researching others (Bezzera?). I want to stick with a main stream machine that is reliable and not too old.
Required: e61 Internal Tank Stainless steel cover and frame
I am flexible on the other items: Gauges: Prefer Brew and Steam gauges to help me Boiler type: HX or DB (I have read arguments pros and cons for each) PID: Preferred, but not required
If this item has to be shipped, I prefer the original boxes to prevent damage
I found a Isomac Tea in Austin, but then the guy decided not to sell it :(
I would like to stay around $900 - $1000 max, i'm not sure how much it cost to ship these machines. I need to save money to eventually upgrade my grinder,because that is important too, but one thing at a time.

Well, I was able to track down a Alex Duetto from a fellow CG member. He was honest and a pleasure to deal with. I think he took good care of the machine and this is a major upgrade for us. We are very excited :)
