I am looking to sell my Fiorenzato Mestre (T-80). I bought it used in pretty oily condition, but it was well maintained otherwise. Since then I have cleaned it to the best of my abilities, as you will see in the pictures. It had Grindz ran through it a good scrub down with a toothbrush about 2 weeks ago. I did run 3 shots worth of beans through it since then, but I did just run some rice through it, vacuum and scrub it to give it a quick clean.
The grinder is in awesome condition. It grinds just as well as my Super Jolly and Vario-W. I would keep it, but I already have a SJ and Vario, so something needs to go.
I used it for about 2 months to try out with my La Pavoni Europicola. I am no expert, but comparing the grind at about the same setting on the SJ and Vario, I couldn’t tell the difference. I have ran beans from different regions and roasts and have had no problems.
I have not replaced the burrs, they seem to work fine, but depending on how much you intend to use it, they should probably be replaced within a year. I say this because the previous owner had no clue of how old they were.
The only annoying thing that I have found with it is that I can’t seem to set the burr at zero when the burrs are completely down at the step lock. Maybe I am stupid, but I just gave up for fear of stripping the threads. So zero for me started at 13, went up 4ish to 17ish (depending on the coffee) for espresso. Then went past zero for drip, pour-over and French press, which it gave equally consistent grind quality.
The doser works fine. I didn’t mod it, as it sweeps pretty clean. It also helped that I vacuumed it after each use.
Like it said it is used, so it does have some cosmetic damage, but nothing that effects the grind, mostly just a few dings and paint chips. I tried to take pictures of all of them.
It is also missing the hopper lid. I never stored beans in there so it was never a problem. Actually I only used the hopper for dosing and to prevent pop-corning.
I am looking for $200 shipped. I am open to offers, and may go lower for local pickup in the Grand Rapids, MI area.
I am also open to offers and maybe some trades for other coffee gear.
Please email me with any questions you might have at westelmach@hotmail.com. If you email and want to talk, I will gladly provide my phone number.
I have never sold through this forum, only purchased. But my ebay user I.D. is westelmach and I have 100% feedback.
