Posted Thu Sep 27, 2012, 5:27pm Subject: Sold: La Pavoni Eurpicolla Machine and Jolly Grinder
My mother in law gave me a Europicolla and matching Jolly Grinder (with original boxes). Aside from usual bean oil signs, the grinder says decaf on in in sharpe (she ran two for a while).
My ECM is doing great, and I like going out for coffee from the office. (and my house needs some new flooring)
So, I'm putting the pair up for sale. The Europicalla showed a leak and the steam handle, but it was just a loose seal. That said, I'd put the machines at around 4-5 years old. The Europicolla only has a single power switch. Newer ones have a second steam mode I think.
I pulled a few truly excellent shots with this machine. Just lovely. I've got four baskets for it and a single portafilter handle. I didn't see anything else on the machine that concerned me, it's in excellent condition.
The grinder is a doser style. I compared it against my iberital challenge (european household grinder) and found the results to be very similar. It does have a nice click style setting.
Please make an offer. I'll ship ups insured and do paypal. I'm thinking 550 for the machine, maybe 300 for the grinder. I'm interested in trades, if it is interesting.
Pics on request, I'm being lazy tonight!

Will,
I tried to send you an e-mail as per your Coffeegeek profile but it got rejected.
Mike
Edit: Might as well ask you here.
I would like to know if the machine is in good, working condition and if there are any noticeable signs of damage, rust or wear from normal use (or heaven forbid, physical damage.) Would also like to know if the machine is cleaned/descaled regularly and/or/if gaskets have been replaced? If you could provide some photos, that would be much appreciated. Please let me know and I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

This machine was never serviced according to my mother in law. I had to tighten the seal at the water wand valve as it had worked loose. I recommend a full seal swap, but his machine only has a few, so it should be easy.
I will post pics tomorrow. Sorry for my delay, it's been busy!
As you can see, there are four PF baskets, a single portafilter handle and a basic metal tamper. (The original was plastic and lame. This one works, but isn't anything great.)
The doser on the grinder detaches easily for cleaning the spout. I did a test grind against my Iberital with the same coffee and didn't detect any real difference.
Oh, and these will BOTH ship in their original boxes. The boxes aren't in amazing condition or anything, but you can count on factory packaging.
I have also updated my email on my profile.

I have time today, so if you want these and want to paypal, I'll get shipping labels on them today and drop them at UPS tomorrow morning!
