I'm not a regular poster but I am a fellow coffeegeek that enjoys this site on a daily basis. I have learned so much and acquired so much equipment over the past few months because of you geeks. Anyway, time to move on to bigger and better things and my FreshRoast PLus 8 that has served me so well is up for sale. Its simplistic and just plain works, although in smaller batches. Its the older non digital dial model and you just turn it for a specific time. Turn it off whenever you want as you can see and hear the beans very easily. Cosmetically i'd rate it a 7 and with a good cleaning probably an 8.5. Nothing is broken and the chaff collector works fairly well. I used this inside the house all the time but my hood fan MUST be turned on and running strong. No original packaging or manual but the manual and roasting tips for the roaster can be found on Sweet Marias site. I also have a big and random assortment of organic green beans to get you started. The beans are fairly old at close to a year but my palate isn't good enough to discern the difference (yet). I am guessing there are approx 6-8 lbs of beans. These can be included in the price if you want them. Great for experimenting roasts with and even to season new grinder burrs if you don't want to chance stale beans.
