No, I'm going to hold on to the Franken-Macap - for the Keurig - overkill, but I could never get back anywhere near what it's worth.

how much? (:

Well, considering that I would want to replace it with another macap that would be about $550 plus shipping from ChrisCoffee.

No partial sales - sorry. this is a killer deal as it stands.

Consider, please that you're getting a fully functional Anita that looks almost like new.
a bottomless portafilter holder.
a homemade Scace device (K type thermocouple, no meter).
an Eric Svendson nose thermal probe.
new lever rods, valves, cam, gaskets - great action.
2 regular portafilter holders.

2 folks have asked me about the Eric Svendson thermal nose probe, and the homemade Scace device.

My initial thought was "no" simply because I value them as part of the sale and a definite enhancement to the Anita.  It's also a hell of a lot easier to pull a dependable shot with the nose probe.  The Scace-type device is really a 1 or 2 time use item - once you get a feel for the stability of your machine, you don't need it unless you upgrade.  There should be Scace devices that you could rent for a day. My unit is nowhere near durable enough for that.

I do realize there might be folks who would want Anita but not want to pay extra for those 2 items.

First, I believe the thermal probe adapter thing costs $97 in stainless and includes the special thermometer, bought from Eric.
Second, Greg sells his device on espressoparts.com for $324, including the pf holder.  his is more durable than mine.  I am very careful with my equipment and did not build it for the market - just for me.

I would like to wait until maybe Fri to open these up for sale.  I would ask $150 plus insured shipping for the pair, and NO GUARANTEES!!!  I don't want to hear about "I lost one of the teflon ferrules" or "I broke the thermocouple".  It's fragile! - you bought it, you care for it, and it will last forever.

Homemade Scace device Tech specs - double filter basket fits ANITA pf, 1/4" ball valve on bottom, K type factory thermocouple joint sticking through "puck", with K plug on end. No meter. You need a fast acting meter to use with this. No portafilter holder (get rancillio one from ChrisCoffee for $58)(or I suppose I would include it with this for $200 total.
USAGE: lock and load. open ball valve and flush until 203 deg or so at nose. Close ball valve almost completely. Wait 20 seconds. "Pull shot" (adjust ball valve a little if needed to simulate normal shot flow) and notice temp from device TC throughout pull (it will probably be about 200 on the Anita.

NOTE the device is not watertight - I get about 2-3 drops/sec from the side of the valve mounting washer when simulating a blank filter.

The PDF for the thermal probe is at www.chriscoffee.com/files/44/DigThermAdptr51010.pdf  it only includes the thermometer NOT the stainless probe.

If sold, I will then lower the price of Anita to $600 minus selling price of these 2 parts - or somewhere thereabouts...
Let me know (publicly) what you think.  I will leave the email off until you make an offer.
