Mike, it's not a silly rule. It's there to discourage spammers, for one thing. FWIW, I believe anyone who circumvents a rule knowingly reveals something of his character.
I try to lurk more than post, but you deserve a BIG thumbs up for that last sentence.
Oh and Mike...if your actions don't get you banned (probably should be) you should take down this ad, contribute to the forum, and then post your ad when you legitimately earn the right.

Why not post a WTB on this BST forum, with a realistic price you'd pay. Then you can take your chance with our OP here, whom I hope has given some thought to proper netiquette.

I never said that I didn't have it listed in other places. I do want my alex to go to a coffee lover, that is the reason that I wanted to list it on this site. Just because I just signed up, doesn't mean that I haven't read several opinions and reviews on coffeegeek. I was even going to join and post a review of the alex, but before I got around to it, I was forced into having to sell it:( But, I am dissappointed with the negative comments that are not warranted. Yes, I went around a 10 post rule, to list my machine. For this I am sorry, but to attack my character is beyond me. Is this how you treat new members? I am a fan of coffeegeek, but I am not impressed with some of it's members. Can you not understand that this machine would make someone a happy owner and espresso drinker, that actually utilized this site to obtain it? I will not slam any of you, but if you want to slam me, please, do it to my face. sincerely, Mike

I just read the rules on BST, for the first time. When I tried to list my alex, red words appeared, that said that I needed to have at least 10 posts to list item. I then, said hi to 10 boards, then I was able to list my item. I thought that I was slick, but after the responses and reading the rules, obviously I should not have done this. I am sorry to Mark and coffeegeek and all the members. I understand if you want to ban me and/or my ad. If it's OK, I plan on reading more info. Goes back to "read instructions before doing". I will always love coffee and this site. Mike

At the very least, this would make someone who is willing to drive to BRUCEVILLE, IN happy. I would personally buy another joystick for it. 1 joystick and 1 knob looks kind of funny :-)

I had bought 2 joysticks, but the pid panel was too close to the water valve mounting hole, so I only installed the steam side. The water side is fine with the turn knob, since a quick release isn't necessary. I did send joystick back. Mike

I also found that a stainless steel basket for drip coffee makers is much better than using a paper filter, since the paper doesn't allow the oils thru. The coffee tastes much better this way. I bought the basket on ebay for 5 dollars. I realize that this is not near the alex coffee, but I am preparing to survive without crema. I hope that this info helps. Mike

Hi, I just talked with Mary at Chriscoffee, and she told me that the warranty is transferable to the new owner. I would have to let her know the name and info of the new owner for their records. thanks, Mike

I might be interested depending on how flexible on price you are and what it would cost to ship. Hit me up in my public email and maybe we can work out a deal.
