So I'm shifting gears from cleaning out my extra stuff to actually purging the things that I don't make proper use of. This Bacchi is one of those things. It makes a nice companion for the Pharos that I don't make good use of either. It really does work, and is about a low tech as espresso gets. Once I took it and the Pharos cross country to my in-laws because I just couldn't stomach two weeks of pre-ground Starbuck's espresso blend from a moka pot. I have since sent them an old PeDe hand grinder and I think I'll just bring a Clever and a whole lot of home roasted beans next time.
This little guy is in great shape and has only really seen about three weeks of actual use. For me it has been an expensive novelty from the days that I was wrapped up in going a low tech as possible. Maybe for you it will complete that elegant electricity-free espresso setup that you have going.
