I've been playing around with the Esatto for a month now (paired with my Preciso), and I've come to the conclusion that it's not for me. Why? Because I single-dose, mainly, but also because my counter space is limited; for more details, see this recent blog post.

Don't get me wrong: the Esatto works very well! For the first few weeks I was double-checking the weight of the grounds it delivered each time using another scale with 0.1-g. sensitivity, and the Esatto hit its target +/- 0.2 grams most of the time—never exceeding 0.4 grams and often simply nailing the target weight, especially with finer grinds (including espresso). Also, I never had to recalibrate the way Baratza's outlined here on CoffeeGeek and elsewhere.

If you've got a Baratza Maestro Plus, Virtuoso, or Preciso and you're curious about weight-based grinding, here's your chance to explore what the Esatto can do for you at a discount.

Price: $100 shipped. That's well under what Baratza charges for a refurbished Esatto, assuming you can find one.

Condition: I'm picky with my gear, and I'd consider this Esatto to be in "like new" condition. Any nits there might be to pick about the finish on the metal or the plastic hopper are extremely minor and were present originally. Everything's clean and in perfect working order. The original box and all accessories are included. The manual can be downloaded online (didn't come with one, surprisingly). The only reason I'm attaching a stock pic to this post (as opposed to a pic of the actual item) is because the Esatto's already packed up for shipping (oops).

Shipping: Free via UPS Ground. As a result, CONUS only, please. I'll be quick to get this out the door once you've paid, and I'll keep you in the loop by providing the tracking number promptly.

Payment: PayPal Instant Transfer only (to be arranged by email; see my profile for the email address).

References: I have flawless eBay feedback (user ID: joshviau). Also, I've got a fairly long post history here, on HB, and especially on the singleservecoffee forums, where I'm a moderator. It's easy to find me online should any problems arise.

Questions: Please don't hesitate to ask if you think of any!
