Selling my Kony for....another Kony.  Well, sort of.
I am looking at replacing the Kony with the Vulcano Doserless (Kony in LM clothing) which would rest nicely beside the GS/3.

Kony Specs: 63mm conical burrs, cool 500 rpm speed

The Kony is perfect enough for my home use, a small cafe, or as an additional grinder at a busy espresso spot.
Finger guard and automatic grinding cycle mechanism removed.  Doser lip eliminates any ground spray.

It used to sit on my kitchen counter.  With hopper removed, it just tucks in underneath standard height cabinets  (I used to use those stick on magic sliders to easily slide the grinder in and out in order to load the beans.)

Excellent grinds for espresso.  For french press, it demolishes my Vario in terms of grinding out "small boulders" and fines left in the cup even with the most recent upgrade to the Vario.

Comes with standard plastic doser lid or custom chrome plated lid.

Lightly used at home.

Can you get some closer photos for quality? When you say that your removed the dosing mechanism, does that mean you removed the electronic mechanism?

Sincerely,

Avery

Per Mazzer website: "Automatic grinding cycle with start every 12 doses and stop when the ground coffe doser is full."

I removed the electronic mechanism in the doser which automatically triggers the grinder to start once the doser drops below a certain level.  For purposes of a household with one coffee/espresso drinker, it did not make sense for me.  Easily reattaches with 2 screws and reattaching two wires.  Also, I like to clean out remaining grinds which remains in the exit chute just past the burrs (but not in the doser).  Having the mechanism in the doser prevents me from using a small brush to clean out this area.

The automatic system is easy to take out without damaging the grinder. I did it to one of my SJs. I kept the parts and it would only take like 10 minutes to put back if you ever wanted it again. Not a big deal.

I also like the grinder without the auto parts, again to clean out the chute, like you.
