Best offer within a reasonable amount of time takes it. Has one tiny mark, smaller than a grain of rice on the handle. Works perfect, obviously.
Got it from 1st-line when I got a Semi-Automatica. Replaced it with a custom one I made.

Asking / Suggested Price: 75

A word of caution to other Geekers - I purchased this from ihaveanidea (Senior Member) earlier this year, by PayPal, then after following up, was told it was returned with insufficient postage.  I thought I was being gracious noting these things happen and indicating speed was not of the utmost importance (don't bother sending it by Express), and after that ... nothing - no response to emails, no Espro - zilch.  I also (stupidly, thinking this would all be good faith) did not make a claim at PayPal in time, so this member has my $, I have no Espro, and he refuses to respond to any emails I send.

Sigh.

By chance did you use a credit card to make the purchase?  I had a bad experience buying something once paypal totally blew me off.  They refused to get involved at all, and closed the case.  I went to my credit card and they took the money back from paypal.  Low and behold once the money had been taken back from them, they were more than willing to re open the case and they sided with me.

R - thanks - no - bank transfer.  Double sigh.

It would be nice if there were some sort of 'dispute mechanism' on CoffeeGeek for these type of situations - I'm not saying 'listen to me' - just 'get input from both sides', and if necessary, axe someone from membership.

I'm so with you on that. Went through a nightmare with Salvatore. I'll be writing a review at a later date but I'll never do business with them again - EVER. It would be useful to have a place to warn folks of scurrilous vendors/sellers etc.

It would be a nightmare, and place us in a no win situation of sorts FOR US to have MEDIATE the BST.
As you know, it is offered as a service FREE to our membership. We do have lots of specific rules, and trust me, we are SERIOUS about enforcing them.
However, because we don't monitor private communications between buyer and seller (and wouldn't want to) it is impossible for us to guarantee a perfect experience every time.

That said, Dana and Jon were able to help a buyer get his merchandise, when it proved to be a misunderstanding regarding shipping.
But, SAY a seller PURPOSELY denies a buyer the item after payment was sent, we have no LEGAL way to get involved.

Again, if we can aid using our resources to help track someone down, initiate contact we'll do our best.

I don't mean to pass the buck here, and I'm now speaking as a member, but I'd say that there should be a written agreement between the purchaser and seller, perhaps scanned and signed by each describing the purchase. Your communications here would also be evidence of a transaction, which is why we insist on full legal names on the BST postings, not just in your USER area.

The BST has been, except for a VERY few exceptions a successful way for non business Geeks to purchase and sell coffee related items in a safe and friendly environment.
It always disturbs us when situations like Herschel's arise.

Let me do a bit of checking on this.

Quickly,"OO" would you mind PM'ing me regarding your issues with Salvatore?
I have no horse in this race. We'd just like to make sure that your posting will not be in violation of CG rules. :>D

Lastly, I'd hate to see a "gripe/grievance thread" here.
I believe there are better places, such as Amazon blogs, open forums, etc to discuss gripes with a particular vendor, especially when they often don't have the time to respond properly. (I'm not referring to anyone, just describing some previous experiences here.)
Too many times we've had disgruntled purchasers who are too lazy to pick up a phone and discuss it with the vendor directly, or publish what should be private email conversations up here.

It's just feels sort of "icky."

Rob,
Will do once I have the machine in my hands. It's being shipped to the great white north this week.
