You might not hear from them again even if they're a regular. At least with Craigslist, you know exactly what you're getting, even if you have to drive a few hours to see it.

There really is no better way than a face to face deal.

Guys, i hate to ask this but can someone please get this thread back on topic and allow me to attempt to sell my coffee machine, (self collect - face to face), i believe i outlined probably the best solution in my previous post, because when you have so many off topic replies (again) it diminishes my ability to sell.
If i go to the supermarket and there is a "buy & sell" board where i can post a picture and my phone number to sell my machine, there is a number for people to contact me and that is that, no running diatribe about how many times someone has shopped at the supermarket before they placed an ad on the corkboard or how suspicious the handwriting (etc. etc.).
To wit i say once again, to have postable replies (any except for moderation) to ads defeats the purpose of a marketplace, where it is always "caveat emptor" (buyer beware), let the enquiries be direct via phone/sms or email. There is no responsibility on the part of coffeegeeks over what is sold, just to be sure that the posted ads are complying with their guidelines, and as there would be no replies to the ads posted, there will be less work for everyone trying to sift and remove any scammers.
'nuff said...
Now can i please get on with selling my coffee machine???
Sorry if our proclivities were upsetting to you, but (obviously) this is not a website that is set up specifically for selling stuff. That said, you may want to repeat the original post here at the end of your thread so it shows up again.
Since there are a few new threads now running specifically to explain and discuss our BST area, your thread here will probably see much less offtopic action (and please do check those threads yourself).
Here's a repeat of the original sale post. Thread will be locked to prevent more noise. If you want it unlocked again, please contact me JonR10@yahoo.com

Interested parties in the SINGAPORE area can contact you and go see it in person. I'm sure it's a great machine in excellent shape.

(The picture is representative only and not the actual machine)
