I noticed a post moved from one forum to another recently, without a marker being left behind.  I guess the OP won't find it, so the thread will die :)

Can I suggest a marker be left in the original thread with a link to a moved thread in the future?

I know I'd be really annoyed if it happened to a post of mine.  (Well it did, because I posted in the said thread, but knew in which forum the thread should properly be, so found it okay.)

So I'm late to the game but I too would like to see this.  I've moved posts that were great posts but just out of place.  Most times they take off and the OP see's them luckily but this option would be a nice touch.

It's not necessary, anyone can find all of their posts just by clicking on their username. Alternatively they could try looking in the correct forum ;)

In reality, I would imagine that most regulars click on 'new posts' anyway.

Cheers

Ironically I've never clicked on "New Posts" I do it the ol' fashioned way by going forum to forum.  Plus the moved note would eliminate the need for the user to go to the extra steps of viewing the profile and so forth.  I suppose its not a big deal.

Other forums I've used leave a "shadow" topic. When you click the shadow, it goes to the thread's new home. After a fixed period, the shadow is removed. I'm sure Mark has plans for something like this in the CG rebuild later this summer.

FWIW, I use "new topics / new posts" too.
