In my area of the U.S (New England Farm Country), we smoke Corn Silk, the dried stringy ends of the ears of corn.  Kind of has a tobacco taste, unlike the dried Banana skins I hear you guys smoke up in Alaska; and the silk has none of the urban legendary hallucinogenic properties of the banana skin smoking.  A possible negative in that respect, but probably healthier for ones mental state nonetheless.

Well, there ARE strange things done under the midnight sun, but smoking banana peels is not one of them. This is the first I've heard of that. Smoking certain other plants may as well be the official state pastime though.
I prefer my coffee addiction :-)

Well, people love to explore. You can smoke anything you want, but be cautious that anything you use for smoking is dangerous. If tobacco has nicotine, then coffee has caffeine. Donít you think that coffee is good for drinking? If it use for smoking, then be ready for the consequences. The smoke can damage your lungs.

Did you know...? Dark roast coffees actually have less caffeine than lighter roasts due to the fact that the process of roasting burns off caffeine.
