Hey geeks,
I'm looking for a pocket scale to help me dial in my grinder and pull the best espresso possible. Anyone have suggestions on where to get one for cheap? Im not looking for anything amazing, just something decently accurate for under $20, probably .1 gram sensitivity. I live in Canada (Calgary) so I can't order from OldWillKnot, which seems to be the most highly recommended. Any thoughts?

Yup, can't order from OldWillKnot in Canada as mentioned above. AmericanWeigh also has expensive shipping to Canada, thanks though. These scales are so damn cheap that you pay as much or more in shipping. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay $30 for a $12 dollar scale.

I have an Ohaus CL201 that cost me maybe $45. It's a great scale, and very accurate. However, I recently needed a second scale, so I went for this very inexpensive one from DealExtreme: Over here!
It's free shipping pretty much anywhere in the world, but it ships from Hong Kong and they are in absolutely no rush. So, it will take about a month to get. Still, it's a great little scale. Accuracy to .1 gram. Neat looking blue lit display.

Check out the Proscale LC-300 which weighs to .1g. Cost was about $13 and has the benefit of running on standard AAA batteries. One thing to watch - the capacity is 300g which isn't a lot IF you dose inside the full PF instead of basket-only. But if you dose outside the PF, it's a really good solution, and also weighs shot output well.
