Greetings to all! After a week or more of some heavy digging and cross-referencing, and thinking, here are the best deals I can find for 2 Group Commercial Machines. I would have preferred to find more Dual Boilers, but unfortunately, they are harder to come across, so I am willing to settle for a HX, as long as its somewhat automatic with volumetric etc. With much respect and gratitude, I would like ask for a huge favour. In your humble opinion, and according to your experience and knowledge, which of these is: a) an overall better machine for a restaurant making espresso, cappuccino, latte's, americano's etc., b) which one is a better bang for the buck

I thank you in advance for your time and love! When in Niagara Falls, come find me so I can treat you to a nice Greek meal, and a coffee from the machine I will end up buying (one of the above mentioned). I would be confused and probably making the wrong decision, without your assistance.

The machine to get is the one that has the best support where you are doing business. If that means that one of the machines comes from a vendor but costs the most, and the rest are private sales, I would say go with the one that is supported. In business, you need fast action when and it IS WHEN you need service.
There is NO quality difference between HX and DB machines, ANY commercial machine is pretty much the same as the other, it comes down to service!
Do not forget you will need to feed it properly filtered water and FRESH coffee, two weeks is pretty much the limit for espresso and for brewed/drip coffee, you might be able to push that to 3 weeks without much of a downgrade in quality.
A local dealer who's business is to sell and service espresso machines will be able to advise you on your water and how it needs to be treated.

All machines I listed are not from a vendor. They 're all private sales. I can't afford to buy a new 2group machine (spend 4,000-5,000+ for machine alone). There are espresso repair men & independent vendors in my area such as these guys: http://www.barclayandtodds.com/index.php?page=aboutus
Then of course there is also the idrinkcoffee technician who is based in Hamilton (1/2 hour from Niagara), Espresso planets technicians (1 hr away), and other private/independent services. I agree 100% of the fresh coffe & water.
Now considering all are private sales and the details I just mentioned...
Which machine would be the machine of your choice (personal pref.)?

This topic is frequently rehashed and the same advice is given every time. If you're running a business relying on this equipment then the best machine is the one you can get the best support for (as already stated above).

I didn't say to buy a NEW machine, I said to buy from a vendor. They have use equipment just as they have new equipment, if a shop goes out of business or upgrades, the old equipment isn't just thrown away! They may also have a lease/service deal that might fit better into a business. Low monthly payments and local support.
I have no issues buying from a PP for personal use, but your income depends on this equipment, you owe it to yourself to KNOW it is in good shape, not just take the word of a private seller.
