Alright, I got a bit further today with this machine. Since it was leaking, I took it apart and sanded down the boiler's two halves where they come together, then reassembled everything. The machine wasn't heating up, so I figured it was the pstat. I wired the pstat to common and normally closed, and everything started heating up, but the boiler began leaking yet again.
Update:
My citric acid came in the mail today, so I just now took the whole thing apart and put everything into a citric acid bath. We'll see what happens in the morning. :o

The boiler is finally leak proof. The pstat is deffinately wired correctly. Things seem to be working properly now. When I run the pump the pipe going to the grouphead seems to be leaking, and I've tried tightening it, but it still leaks. Not sure what to do about this one. I can't tighten it any tighter. :/
Any ideas?
Update: I think I fixed it. It doesn't leak anymore. But now it's leaking in another place because I hear "sizzling" when the machine is heating up, yet I don't see a leak. There's no leaks when the machine idles, so I'm happy about that. Maybe the sizzling is a normal heating sound, I don't know.

The sizzling is probably coming from the vacuum valve on the top of the boiler and it Usually spritzes a little while the boileris heating up and will stop when it reaches pressure.
Used the backflush basket in it to see what's still leaking, and the valve with the strange sensor/solanoid/whatever on it's top is still spritzing pretty badly. I guess that's the vaccuum valve. Tightened it as tightly as I can. The boiler is also slightly leaking, or maybe it's just sweating, I don't know. It's as tight as tight can get. Though it could be the vaccuum valve is leaking onto the boiler, maybe.
Update:
Just tested it, and everything's working just fine now. No leaks so far.
Something I noticed. The guy I bought this from sent me 2 drip trays, and one of them had what looked like a bolt through it. On closer inspection, the bolt is actually a drain and requires a hose hooked up to it to act as a drain. However, the machine itself doesn't have enough room under it to accomodate this size of a hose. Oh well. I'll get it figured out somehow and find a good hose for it.
I also need replacement hoses for the pump and 2 OPVs. I don't like how short the OPV hoses are, and I want to get a longer hose for the pump so I can hook up a gallon water jug to the machine. Not sure what kind of material the hose needs to be. The drain hose I can probably just use silicone hosing. The OPVs and pump look sorta like silicone, but I'm not quite sure. Does anyone know?
For the pick up and return lines, they do not need to be anything special as long as there is no pressure on them and there should not be. Siicone SP is going to be the most flexable but anything will work from the water section of the big box store as long as it was intended for potable water.

I think brass is perfectly fine. I wouldn't waste time or money rechroming something. I don't know why they chrome brass in the first place. Maybe 'cause brass does that ugly aging thing, and chrome doesn't? That's probably it. Or it stains easier.
