As seen at the SCAA show

Steam boiler too small -- being corrected.
both boilers UNinsulated -- case runs EXTREMELY hot
-- I have concerns about the electronics inside and long term reliability
front panel still a little flimsy when torque is applied by the PF handle

Otherwise, great looking and with many cool features.

Advice?  hold off until these things are corrected.  don't become an unpaid  beta tester

Shouldn't the steam boiler be fine if you run it at like 1.6 bar?

Personally, I'd be more concerned about the type of group and the jet inside it.

No, there is a capacity issue for water and vapor.  the boilers are being changed out.

It uses the same 'ol E61.

BTW the machine at idle? the outer case will BURN you if you contact it for more than a few seconds.

I'm curious why they would use such a large brew boiler. According to the specs on Espressocare.com it has a 1.4L b/b with a 600w element. Who needs that much water in the b/b & why use such a small element? Compare that with the .45L b/b on the Vivaldi which uses an 800w heater. The smaller boiler with a larger element will give faster recovery after a shot, respond quicker to a temp change plus with a smaller boiler all you need is a quick 2-3 oz flush if you want to drop the temp a degree or two.

There are a number of things that make me wonder what all the excitement is about this machine. $2100 for a vibe pump pourover that could have used quite a bit more r&d???  Unless you've got to have the shiny metal box look the Mini Vivaldi seems like a much better machine for less money.

I totally agree with each and every point you make, JVB.

the Brewtus II, for example, has the wierd setup of 2 identically sized 975 W boilers.  why?

small brew boiler -- big steam boiler.
