Subject: Wega gone wild?

My Wega has started acting funny intermittantly.  Every once in a while the pump starts up and goes and goes and goes, until it eventually trips something and the pump and the boiler shut off, or I shut it off myself for a while.  Any thoughts ideas.  Also any ideas on where to get a new drip tray?

Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete,

It sounds like the autofill probe for the boiler is calcified/limescaled up, keeping the circuit from grounding correctly & shuting off the pump., & you'll need to take it out, & clean it. This will re-establish a good ground circuit between the top of the boilers water level & the tip of the probe.
