Well as per me frothing the goat milk will be just fine enough. I want to tell you this that-All milk foam as long as there is protein present in the milk and the milk is fresh.
Goat milk is different from cow in that it is already homogenized by nature so the cream is more integrated in the milk than cow. That probably greatly affects the microfoam. My guess is that steamed goat milk would taste fine. Just not froth well. BoldJava should tell us how it turned out. I could probably get some to play with from a person across town with milking goats I know. But if he can tell us it would save me a trip.

Let me save you the trip. It doesn't froth like cow's milk. Difficult to build air into it. If you have ever drunk goat's milk, you know its taste is vastly different than cow's milk. Barn-ey, tangy, thinner than cow's milk -- even if pastured. That is how it strikes my palate.
It is horrid in espresso; lacks the sweetness of cow's milk though lactose content % is about the same. I love goat's cheese but as milk, it is not complementary to coffee. Great for less allergy symptoms but getting it down is another discussion.
