Amazon has the BDB on sale for $1079.961062.99 with free shipping. This is the lowest price at Amazon since March. Prices change rapidly at Amazon so if you want this price you might want to pull the trigger.

Click here to go to the Amazon page.

The BDB has dropped to $1062.99 in case you're inclined to pick one up.

After being up to $1200 for a couple weeks, it's back down to $1063.

I am not a big Breville fan but I have to say I was impressed with this new machine!  It would appear it is good bang for the buck . . . time will tell if it is all it is claimed to be & is reliable!

Time's told, pretty much.  Breville's been selling the BES900XL (aka BDB) in the US for more than two years.

Guys, I think Sharks had his signals crossed and was actually referring to the "new" Oracle...

Sharks - this is the BDB being referred to here, been out for a couple of years now...

LOL,
I don't care what anyone buys, really! Just know as much as possible before buying ANYTHING :D

There is a huge potential as a starter DB, I truly hope the next version is markedly better than the first one, for everyones sake, we NEED affordable starter rank gear that performs and can live a few years.

Here is hoping that next year, the next one is what the first one should have been!

I fall in line with Waynes assessment and if it were me would look at this ,also in the same price range.
Its a tried and true work horse. Some have referred to it as ugly but I like its looks in light of its track record.
