I just purchased the Saeco Synthia Cappuccino Model #HD8838/47 and there is water getting into the drip tray under the machine after every brewing process I do. This water is not coming from the dispensing spout where the coffee pours from into the cup and I am concerned that I might have received a defective unit. After making just a few double cups of espresso the drip tray is almost full of liquid and I have to empty it.

Does anyone have experience with the Saeco Synthia machines?

We do not do a lot with Super automatic machines so answers may be few.
It is normal on semi and automatic machines to have other sources empty into the drip tray, places like the OPV valve or the 3 way valve. It is not a lot of water though so you MAY (we mostly do not work with superauto machines) have an issue. Then again, possibly not. Sorry.

We DO have some members of the board who work on those machines so perhaps one will see your question and be able to help.
