Hi I have a QM67 and just need to know which hose is the intake hose so I can put a softener on

The intake hose should have a V notch or angle cut to it, that's the one. {;-)

that's what i thought at first but that hose with the angle cut is shorter than the other hose.  It can't even reach to the bottom of the tank

Its usually the V notched the longer of the two hose's, lift/unscrew the top cover and check to see if the hose is kinked-you may just need to pull it out some.

You can also turn the pump on and place your finger on the end of the hose in the water and feel for suction.
