I believe many Italian based companies take a portion of August off. Is this still a practice.
One thing you can count on is Chris will get them out as fast as possible.
I've always had stuff shipped to me in a most timely manner. Of course, only 1 item weighed over 10 lbs, that being my former lovely Anita.

I believe earlier in this thread it was mentioned that Quick Mill does take a portion of August off. However CCS got 60 V2B in this shipment and at the time they were received they were not all spoken for (though they may be now). So everyone with a preorder should not be affected by the QM August closure.

On a side note, my credit card now shows a charge, not an authorization, so I'm hoping mine ships out early this week!

They have had my money for about a month, or the check anyway, so maybe the money for three weeks.  They may be shipping in the order that the pre-orders were received and I didn't pre-order as early as some of you guys did.

By now I am sure you all are aware of how indecisive I am and even when CCS was ready to take pre-orders, I had to think about it a bit longer.

It probably is easier and more practical to ship in the order received to keep track efficiently.  Since they have to test and do the offset on each machine before shipping and then repackage them, they must need a system to keep up with where they are with the list.

Still, they should be shipping my machine this week I would guess and I am not in that much of a hurry.  I could do the flushing but not much else until my grinder is delivered.  It has a neat way of dialing in the grind but it will all be new to me and something I will have to learn.

If you guys get your machines this week, please post comments and lots of pictures for those of us still waiting.

Even if mine gets shipped today, I will be lucky to see it this week. I have four days days transit time, so things would have to go perfectly before I could get it on Friday.

Edit: CCS just posted tracking numbers to my account and marked my order as shipped... so hopefully if UPS doesn't drop the ball someplace, I will be flushing the boilers out Friday night and enjoying my first shot Saturday morning!

Hang tight, Janice, you'll get your notification. Mary answered my email from last Friday and said mine should ship no later than tomorrow. I too preordered later than most (I think I was in the 30s) so yes they are probably going in the order that the preorders were received. However since I'm California, normally that would mean I'll get mine next Tuesday, but with Labor Day coming up I'm not sure if that will add an extra day.

Dave - the way you Europeans write your dates makes my eyes hurt! :D

BTW - glad we all got the pre-order price. V2B now $2295 on CCS site.

Someone from a country where the standard household voltage is 110/115V casts aspersions on the way I write dates <lol>....now the 60Hz bit, great idea, they just got the voltage bit wrong. NOW, you probably want me to write the date all jumbled up, just to make a computer happy ;-)

Still, glad you are eventually getting your machines....
