...
I am new to these forums and was first attracted to the title "read this first..." as I have no other direction on how to weed through the volumes of information and different threads.
...I have to say this is what I like about this thread.  It really can be hard to weed through everything.

Here's the "Little Rule of Fifteen" I learned from this site:

Green coffee is good for about 15 months from the day it was picked
Roasted coffee, whole, is good for about 15 days from the time it was roasted
Ground coffee is good for about 15 minutes from the time it was ground

The moderators and myself have weeded through this post and dealt out a few strikes and post edits.

This is a good thread starter and while not authorized by CoffeeGeek (ie, not authored and approved editorially) we made it a sticky because it presents some great information. But I will not tolerate any violations of our forum rules and especially won't tolerate personal attacks. As such, we've taken moderator actions to weed out comments and removed at least one member of the website.

I'd ask all who are reading this to just get back to the discussion on hand and forget about the one interloper who was disturbing an otherwise great thread.

Everybody should be "honored" with this collaborative effort.

Now can we please delete all comments on this thread (with the obvious exception of the first post) and lock this thread?

Everything after the first post doesn't belong / shouldn't be in the sticky.

Thanks!

No. I won't do it. Despite what I did here with some post deletions and the removal of one member, I am extremely loathe to delete or censor or remove any posts from CoffeeGeek that are not clear cut violations of our forum rules. I operate the boards as hands off as possible, and have the same instructions to our moderating team. I won't, ever, willy-nilly delete postings.

Since Ive been here I feel thats true. When you think about it,you know...how many members are here for the most part people are pretty nice. Which reminds me
Ive noticed some people dont have actual active emails. Is that a requirement. It does seem like a good way to contact people.

I love that you and the Mod team made this a sticky! I thought this would slip to the bumped only section but this site likes to prove me wrong as often as it can, don't ever stop doing that.

Hey Mark have you thought of moving to the U.S and running for a seat in the Senate or Congress, we need someone with your common sense and fairness. Just a thought, love the site and got plenty of great info before spending money on something I wouldn't like and the people on the site are great.
