me and my partner, Márcia Dias, are building our first bike-coffee here in Rio de Janeiro.
At first, we thought we could use only batteries + solar energy (didn't want to use gas). Searching for the machines and seeing other projects like: www.bikecaffe.com/‎, Ole(in Berlin) we are reconsidering using gas... Or, using lots of batteries and every 2hours change them (recharged)...
What do you think?
Thanks! Gonna search some more in the others forums ;)

This is quite an undertaking you are thinking about. Honestly, I don't see how you can get enough energy with solar and batteries. Gas contains much more in a much smaller space. Do you have any experience in preparing coffee or is this just something that sounds like it is a good idea?

Gas makes sense, it's tried and tested in mobile good service, you won't get enough from solar and if you charge batteries they're only as green as the energy out of the plug (was assuming that was a concern)
