I have a Gaggia Classic which is only a few weeks old, and it seems to have developed a problem with the ready light on the brew button. This light has stopped coming on when the switch is in the Off position--in other words, it no longer indicates that the machine is up to temperature. However, when switched on for water or a shot, the light comes on and then turns off as normal. So the LED or bulb is working. I also noticed that it does not work to indicate steam ready either, suggesting that it basically does not come on if it is in the Off position.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem/have any ideas about it?

That's a strange one since the light comes on when you start the pump. Im sure a relay somewhere is bad, but I'm too electronics dumb to tell you where. Hopefully someone will be along soon to help you soon. Where'd you buy the Gaggia from? Maybe you can call them for advice?
