This (if I'm reading the inference correctly that the machine is extremely quiet) is a major selling point for me. I hate waking up the apartment with the sounds of my Silvia's ulka pump echoing throughout the place. Between Dave's comments about build quality, reliability and performance, and Chris's testimony, I'm definitely in. I'm traveling right now but when I get back, Chris is gonna hear from me about getting on the queue for the Vetrano 2b.

Now the hard part: shopping for an aesthetically pleasing cart/table to put it, and my Mazzer Mini E, on. Without breaking the bank. ;)

A close up of how the pump and motor are mounted on the DB Vetrano. The adjustment for the pump can be accessed without removing the outer shell. There is a small rubber plug on the side panel that can pop out to make adjustments. Video wil not be for a little while...

Is this model going to be stocked permanently in the future? I really would like to order one, but I have spent about 2K in the last two years on espresso related purchases and I would like try and get my CC1 working before I just give up on it. While I can afford to spend another 2K, I have this nagging little man in the back of my mind that is saying I need to use reason and that 2K is a good amount of money. I think my biggest draw over the QM67 is the rotary pump (and of course it has a nicer cabinet). I would love to have a quieter unit. I am also assuming the dual boiler will steam milk a little faster.

If it is going to be stocked in the future, I wouldn't feel such a need to get on the list.

I guess because I am lazy and figured someone here had already asked that question... now I have to find time during business hours to call them  :(

Wellk it's actually 2 questions you need to ask.

  1. Is it going to be stocked permanently
  2. Will it be at the same introductory price
