But the boiler keeps itself topped up without any problem?
Then check for the blockage. Start where the T-fitting separates your brew circuit
from the boiler-fill valve and the checkvalve there, to the solenoid valve for dispensing.  If it's the solenoid valve itself see if it's getting power.
The problem is that water isn't getting all the way to the showerface.  Find what's stopping it.

water is getting to the head all clear up to the head as I disconnected the pipe , I do not understand how the solenoid valve operates the water as it seems it is just a relief valve at the other end is just plastic cover?

Think it  is the solenoid valve not working, I have voltage so I removed the solenoid valve from the main head then pressed coffee button nothing happened, i am assuming the valve spindle would protrude out of the valve when the coffee button is pressed ????

I think I'm understanding that you have water all the way up to the head, where the solenoid valve is bolted on.
With it in place, put your thumb on the side of the plastic. Do you feel it "Thunk" open when it tries to brew coffee? If you feel it then it is electrically okay.
If you take the solenoid off...

Holy crap that's a bog copy paste...
Sorry, but that second picture shows the solenoid valve on the side of the head...
The Solenoid valve is a three way valve.  1: From the boiler's Heat exchanger. 2: To the portafilter. 3: The drain.
When electrically active, 1: The boiling water travels through to 2: and brews your coffee.  When electrically inactive, 2: The remaining water still under pressure ABOVE your puck of grounds is connected to 3: the drain to let that pressure out so you can remove the portafilter without it splurting. (That might not be the technical term).
Now that you're sure that the water is getting to the head, but not through it, I think you should remove the solenoid valve. You'll probably have to remove the drain pipe(Right side), then the nut that holds the black cube (Electromagnet) on, then you can get the four little bolts out of the corners where it bolts to the head.
You'll see the two holes on the face of that square mounting flange.  One is where 1: water goes in from the machine. the other is 2: where it continues out to the portafilter.
Hold it in your hand, by the plastic, with a cloth under the holes where it used to be mounted.  Does it "Thunk" when you press the button?  Does water come out the 1: hole from the head?

I'm going back to looking at those pictures...   That machine is so clean, it makes me happy.

Okay, stop it, you're soaking your towel.  :)
If water gets that far, but not through it, it's clogged or electrically dead.  Whether you felt the thunk or not is the answer.
Post again if we still haven't solved it...  Might be two or three nights before I'm back, but I expect your next post will be you reporting good news.
Good luck
