Better for what?  How will it be used?  What are your drink needs?  What are the prices of the two?

The prices are out of date but the basic info should still be valid.

"Expobar Office Pulser First Look"
"Nuova Simonelli Oscar First Look"

HI
Its going to be used for lattes, home use, maybe 12 shots per week.

Right now I dont have prices, I am waiting for a good deal on a used machine.  I am just asking to know in which direction look.

The one that you can get repaired locally (Or get parts for)is the better choice in my opinion.
The one with the lower price in many opinions.

Sstone hit it on the head.  I live with in 5 hours of the NS USA headquarters and there are more of them around used so what is what I found in my price range.  I have seen very few Expobars up for sale used.  You will have to see what is common in your area and you can get parts for.

I know that the oscar is plastic but inside I have read that it is a workhorse.

Plastic is car bumper plastic, it is sturdy and no burn.  I like that over the steel skin. Also, I can paint or mod it anyway I wish.

If it offers the features required, will meet the volume requirements and is of decent quality, that is a good answer.

Similar performance, similar footprint. Both HX.

I dislike how it looks, but I would go for the Expobar on account of:
-All-steel construction
-a clone E61 grouphead
-a hot water tap
-no-burn steam wand (at least the one in our market)

I'd say you can't go wrong with both, and they're fine home machines. But the three details above are something to be considered.

I own the Expobar by the way, and I've played around with an Oscar.

+1 satisfied Expobar owner. Worst thing about it is it is fairly tall and in order to get the reservoir out i have to pull it out from under
the cabinets. Other than that makes back to back shots and i have not run out of steam yet.

Either way i think you cant go wrong with these two machines. After owning an HX i dont want to go
back to single boiler either :)
