That's good to hear, the Dream is still at the top of my list.  I was suppose to get some price quotes from CCS today and haven't heard anything. I imagine due to the tragic happenings close to them.  I love the wood panels on the Spaz from Clive Coffee (brings the price around the price of the Alex) but gorgeous.  The Spaz will also fit in the area I am using now better.

The CCS crew was also in Boston through the weekend.  What a wonderful post...

Well, sat down with my wife and went over my top choices with my wife.  We both love the La Spaziale Vivaldi II Mini with timer (due to great track record, also like the lever action steam better) with the walnut sides from Clive Coffee.

Dude, congratulations.  Seriously, the current firmware version is fine and stable.  Sounds as though there may be some tweaks coming, but I'm happy with the current version.  And I'm going to have serious envy of those wood panels!

Thanks, it was actually Ken at Clive that made me take a step back and compare finishes of the Dream and Mini. I really could have gone with either but love the chrome on the Mini, as well as the steam lever over the knob.  It's going to look smoking with the Walnut.  I hope they make a walnut 53mm PF soon as well so I can add a bottomless.  Our house is contemporary and filled with contemporary art work, it will fit in just fine.  I will post pics when I get it in.

I'm going to have total wood panel sides envy!

It's too much for me to add up front, but I wonder if Clive would be willing to sell the sides separately at a later date and if they'd be relatively easy to install...

The wood sides were a big part in the deciding factor for us.  Without them, it looks too commercial,; with the sides, just amazing.  You get that whole Italian style with gorgeous curves.  Glad I am going with the Vivaldi Mini as well.  Love the chrome to it, Ken really has been helpful, and it's cheaper than the Dream, even with the timer (cut a few bucks off of it as well).

Clive has a $125 certificate when you buy the machine, Ken said you could use that towards the sides if need be.  I bet they would sell them afterwards, but wonder if they would make you send the machine to them for proper fitment. I now my machine will get sent to them from CCS for the fitment making delivery time slightly longer. There is a 3 week wait or so for the sides as well.  It will be worth it in the end..
