My machine is only a year old, plus a few months.

This  morning,I had the machine on,  and after  the cooling flush and pulling shots ,  when it kicked into  its cycle,  it made two loud popping noises,  and the pressure gauge  on the  left ( bad espresso machine owner, the name escapes me) hopped a bit at the sound.

I turned the machine off for now,  husband and I  had to go to  work.  Going to check it out  tonight.

Obviously,  if anything is wrong,  we're calling  First  Line, I  just thought I'd see if anyone here had suggestions.

Hi
There is not much to go on here. It may be small steam explosions  due to scale coating the heater, in that case, water trapped between the heater and the scale flashes to steam due to the heater being hot and no place for the pressure to go. This is most often the reason for clicks, hisses etc when the heater is turned on. It can also be heard in hot water heaters etc when they get old.

It may be something else entirely, your loud, may be my barely noticeable. You don't say if the machine ran normally afterwords or not. You don't mention that it did or did not do anything else and with such limited info, it is very hard to say much at all. Good luck!

I  turned it off afterwards. We didn't have time to mess with it this morning. I  will get more information on it tonight when we look at it again.  Thanks!

Thank you!
