Have a question
Does a plumbed version oscar have the built in tank that the non plumbed version have? I found one today ( plumbed version) but I dont have the facility to connect it.
If not, can it be used or modified to be used like the non plumbed version?

The difference between the two versions is fairly minimal. The way I saw it briefly when I was at Plindy's, NS puts a different bottom plate on the inside of the machine. So you would need to order some parts in order to convert it back to a tank version. I think it's cheaper to go from the tank version to the plumbed version (provided you buy the piping off the shelf) than the other way around.

You can run a plumbed in from a water jug and a pump. I would try to do that first. I have not done it but a web search will give you what you need to know.

Do you even need an external pump for the Oscar? I don't think you do, since it's a vibe pump. Plindy, if you're watching this thread, this is one for you!

No Direct connect has no reservoir
Maybe not sure if it's recommended, but a silicone tube from the pump to a liter bottle in my sink will pull water thru to the group, fill the boiler, and just made an acceptable cappuccino.
However, most DC machines were set up for ESE pods, sold to small cafe's, and most have had a hard life...
NS part #'s
76013011 factory kit for change to tank connection
73004010 reservoir, o-ring, one way valve
old part # 05000178 reservoir o-ring? not listed 01000089 one way valve
200000040020 lower housing + plastic bit for opening the way valve
old part # 05000182 lower housing 05000184 plastic bit I have not found these two parts anywhere but the factory..
unplug the white single wire and the double wire green striped and yellow wire that are connected together. and plug them into the lower housing, for the reservoir out of water circuit.
