Honestly I really like theR58,it had the features,size,and qualities I like.but knowing that the maker tells me that a noise is normal,I have to give my money to someone else.I am not the type to bash people on forums,but I am very pissed after spending 2600 dollars plus other things and returning the machine 2 times knowing a tech guy looked at it and telling me it is all good.

So now that it is fact. What is a GMs job? Is it tech? I have had one point through this entire problem with Roberto's machine, Roberto needs to be happy and that has not happened. A dead horse is being beaten. I suggested a solution in some thread earlier, call a trusted vendor that still sells the machine, find out if there is a solution from people that are not having the same quality control or have found a solution.
Done now. This is going down a very negative road.

Germantownrob, Cuz vin and I had some email conversations And he has tried to help me out. Unfortunately there are no trusted vendors,my first machine was brand new and right away reported the issue to mr Andrew and he said the noise was normal.then the vendor replaced the machine and same noise again, so I sent second email to mr Andrew and got the same response. So why did the vendor replace my machine if the noise it made was normal. Anyhow I am not getting a rocket.

There are better ways to proceed if you're really interested in understanding the noise. You're automatically assuming there's something wrong with your machine, which may not be the case at all. You haven't provided any information on how the machine is installed or other factors that could increase pump noise. It's also helpful to listen to those who have a Rocket or similar machine since they are familiar with how these types of machines work.
I'm assuming you're sincerely interested in learning more about the machine's noise. The first machine did have a higher pitch sound. The second machine sounds pretty normal, although I did hear a short high pitch whine for a few seconds.
The noise could be caused by water supply constrictions. Are you using the internal tank for water, or are you using an external water source? If you're drawing water externally, how is your water supply configured?

I listened ... and sure I'm ancient, and the eardrums aren't what they were ... but the very, very faint "noise" I could hear, over and above normal pump noise, sounded a lot like the whistle and squeak of an OPV. Certainly nothing to be alarmed about, just correct, normal activation to keep the brew pressure at 9 bar. The question you have to ask, is "does this affect shot quality?" Looking at the videos, I'd say "NO!" so I'd judge that your machine is operating normally and the supplier answers are correct.
Seriously, if your machine manages to do a 20 second version of Beethoven's 9th during a shot IT DOESN'T MATTER ... as long as you got a great shot. Except that it would be seriously cool if it only happened for great shots.

I expect he isn't hearing it, nor knows what he's listening for if he says he doesn't hear anything wrong. I didn't hear anything strange when listening on my tablet's speakers. I did hear it on a laptop with the volume raised. I have a feeling he doesn't want to hear my opinion anymore than that noise, but that I will eventually tell him exactly that. He's more likely to listen to people who say things he can understand, like "Here's another million dollars, send more machines". But anyway, we're back to "Get that pump removed, run the motor pumpless to ensure it's silent, and then put a new pump on." In your dealer's defense (I'm sorry, I know you don't want anyone defending the guy that isn't solving the issue) he believed that the issue was solved with the replacement. I remember 2 days ago I was doubting that there was anything wrong with your machine just because of the odds of 2 pumps being bad. Your description of "A drip from the metal thing in the middle" didn't inspire confidence, sorry, forgive my doubting ways and try to understand his. Let us know how it goes.

yes in the 1st video the sound comes in at the 4 second point. in the 2nd video at 6.
In the 2nd video the pressure in the brew boiler is at 6 bar before activating the lever. Or is the lever at a 45 degree angle? It is hard to see. This may have nothing to do with the noise but normally this is the water supply pressure if plumbed in. Is this plumbed in? The noise starts when the pressure reaches 9 bar then the pressure levels at 9.5 as best I can see.
If you are in Queen street east in Toronto, there is a new 'bar' called Hitch with a Duetto. The owner is also owner of Mercury Espresso which has one of the few Synesso machines. Could chat and try.
