Is it possible that I've got a used machine / or a machine from display? from SCG ? I've ordered the Silvia with the PID. The machine does look new, however
The water tank had some water inside.
There is a clear big red dot on front of the machine – maybe it is how they mark machine that were installed and tested with the PID? – I don't know, or maybe it means that this is a refurbished machine ?
the metal at the brew had has some clear water marks
So my question is, do you think that this is a used machine, or just that after installing the PID it was tested to make sure all is OK, which is totally legitimate?

No they get tested at factory....enjoy. You have a machine that will last a long long time.

I've contacted SCG today, they had no idea aobut the red dot and I was asked to send them a picture of the machine to their support e-mail address, so I did . Waiting for their answer.

I hope you are correct about the red dot. For some reason it does not show in the manual and it looks like someone added it there to mark a defect. Anyway SCG customer service were willing to help out , as you said and asked me to send them a .jpg of the machine. Hopefully it is as you said and I was just surprised to see it. I will update once I get an answer.
