I'm curious if I am cleaning our La Spaziale S2 correctly (ie backflushing the portafilters). I've worked with other espresso machines where there was a special button for back flushing and it then runs through its own little cycle. I cant find anything on the internet for cleaning instructions and there is nothing in the manual... any tips? currently I: Insert a cleaning tablet in portafilter with a solid screen Insert porta-filter into group head. Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times. Remove portafilter. Activate brew cycle and rinse porta-filter in stream of water from group head. Stop cycle. Insert portafilter into group head. Repeat step (2) without detergent 5 more times. thanks!

It's not the portafilter you're cleaning when you backflush, but rather the shower screen of the group head and the mechanisms of the three way valve behind it.

Like above, it is much more and not the Pf that you are cleaning but yes, that is a method that will work.
